What I Ate Wednesday: Fall of the King

Move that body: Week 1 of Jillian Michaels' "Ripped in 30"

I am so glad that What I Ate Wednesday is really "What I Ate Tuesday" because my appetite is insane today. A Nutrigrain bar at 3 a.m. as I nursed Miles, bowl of oatmeal at 7:30 and an egg white muffin from Subway at 10. And, if my lunch partner doesn't come to get me soon, I might gnaw off my arm. Not so sure I could take a picture of that.

Breakfast


Egg white muffin sandwich (unpictured) at about 7 followed by a half PB&J and a Yoplait smoothie at 9.  My second breakfast was a total fail. All of my wheat bread (two varieties) was moldy and the coconut milk I used in the smoothie was overpowering. Had I not been ravenous, I would have tossed it.

 Lunch



Low carb with a Morningstar Farms California Burger, sauteed green pepper (from my garden), onion and tomato (also from my garden) and a Queso Fresco & Chipotle Laughing Cow wedge. Carrots on the side.

Snacks
Note to self: Put on some mascara

Burger King ice cream. I picked this up when I made a lunch-break stop at Best Buy in the hopes that it would be as good as McDonald's cone. Nope. Not at all. AND, it had nearly 100 calories more and a ton more fat. Note to self: Always do research before going through the drive-thru. Addendum to note to self: Buying an ice cream cone cancels out benefits of buying "Ripped in 30."

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork, Annie's Shells & White Cheddar (courtesy of Kim @ Girl Evolving - Thanks!) and broccoli. Topped off with an unpictured Reese's Cup, also thanks to Kim.

So tell me ... how many breakfasts do you have a day? I am hoping there are others in the three-a-day crowd.

  1. I love Annie's Mac & cheese.... I could literally eat the whole box in one sitting (or maybe too) so I need to limit how often I buy it!!

  2. Sometimes two. I can't lie. I sort of just had my second. I had two pieces of wheat toast with all natural PB at about 9am. Still hungry and so I just had a big bowl of home made white chicken chili. I said it was lunch...but it is 11am and normally I eat lunch from 12-12:30. I am still hungry too!

  3. Some days, like today, I will have 2 breakfasts. But sadly I cannot say that I am doing so because I am nursing a precious babe!

  5. Since I'm pregnant (and maybe you did the same thing while pregnant), I often eat break my big meals into separate mini-meals throughout the day. Today I had waffles on the way to work, and half a smoothie an hour later. Part 1 of lunch was eaten at 10:30 (Greek yogurt and cheese/crackers), and Part 2 came at 2:30 (a Larabar and carrots). It helps satiate my hunger throughout the long hours at work!

  6. I work with a girl who has 2 to 3 breakfasts every morning. If my day starts off very early then I have 2 or 3 breakfasts. Thanks for A.) not gnawing off your arm, and b.) taking a photo of said horror!!! :)

  7. When nursing...oh yes, three breakfasts was the norm. LOL

    I still have two. A pre-workout snack and then a bigger one post gym.

  8. I'm glad I'm not the only one with an insane appetite! I've been having 2-3 breakfasts too and eating lunch at like 11:30 if I can wait that long.

    P.S. You look great, even without the mascara. :-)
