Train with me

An ACE certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor, my passion for health and fitness grew from my own weight loss journey (down 120 pounds) and my desire to help others find their way. I have worked with a variety of clients, from seniors to athletes looking to gain mass. I enjoy working with people who are seeking to make a life change - whether it's lose weight or improve athletic performance.

I like to take the philosophy of working hard and playing hard and bring it together, creating programs that not only get results but allow the client to have fun with fitness. Exercises are based on functional movements, and no two workouts will be the same. I like to incorporate aspects of boxing and Pilates, as I am a Piloxing certified instructor, and load training to improve fitness.

I am currently available and booking small group, in-home personal training; fitness parties with cooking demonstrations; one-on-one training; and online training. For more information or to book a session, email me at hlthystrides at gmail dot com.

  • Small group training: This training format offers a unique opportunity to explore a new dimension of fitness by merging group fitness with personal training. Sessions will be limited to 10 participants and will incorporate circuit training and bodyweight movements. Focus workouts include sports conditioning, core training, boxing, strength, recess and boot camp. As an avid long distance runner, I'm also in tune with the needs of athletes and able to design programs that incorporate agility and build speed. Rates start at $30 per hour, per group. 
  • Fitness parties: Make working out and eating healthy a social event. Small groups will enjoy a personalized training session or group fitness class, such as Piloxing, and a cooking demonstration after. Demonstrations include low calorie cocktails, recipe makeovers and sweet endings without the guilt. Rates start at $60 per party, plus cost of ingredients. 
  • One-on-one training: Gain assurance and confidence with a personalized exercise program designed to meet your goals. I'll provide the motivation, guidance and tools you are looking for. Sessions can be scheduled on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis, with customized workouts programmed to be performed on own. Rates start at $20 per hour.
  • Online training: Personal training with the convenience of doing it on your schedule. I will develop a program based on your needs and video workouts and demonstrations will be available. I will offer support via email and Skype. Contact me at hlthystrides at gmail dot com for rates.
Note: Discounts will be offered when booking a package of sessions. Group rates are based per session and are divided among the group. The more people attending the training, the lower the cost. There will be a $5 fee per person for sessions with more than six participants.

  1. There are lots of training methods, techniques and strategies. I liked one article I have read recently. It provides 4 basic exercising essentials, according to fitness instructors, which would help to gain quick results.
