Oh, the difference a few days (and a thousand miles) make.
Friday:
Today:
Needless to say, I didn’t take out the BOB this morning. Pushing a stroller in the snow and praying drivers didn’t lose control of their cars just didn’t seem wise. But maybe that’s just me. Thank goodness I busted out 3 miles on the treadmill last night after my wee one went to bed. And by busted out, I mean trudge along while listening to “My Fair Lazy” by Jen Lancaster.
Never again will I lament running somewhere less than scenic as long as it’s warm and sunny. Never again.
What’s the weather like where you are?
It's chilly, but we don't have any snow yet...
ReplyDeleteIts obviously cold and snowy where I am too! We got 3-4 inches of snow I would guess. I am going to try to run a few miles on the treadmill at the Y today and pray that the sidewalks are cleared tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteI joined you in trudging through 3 miles on the dreadmill in our basement. Blah.
ReplyDeleteToday its going to be sunny and 60, tomorrow in the teens with snow...oh Colorado.
I actually thought yesterday morning, as I packed my running clothes, how BEAUTIFUL it would be to run in the 1" of forecast snow. FAIL - why? We got 8" of snow!!!!!!! And . . . I didn't get off of work until 7 p.m. only to find out that we got 8" of snow, I didn't have gloves or an ice scraper or a coat for that matter - try scrapping the car with those conditions - BOO! I suck I know! So . . . no running yesterday, only self preservation!
ReplyDeleteIs this baby's first snow?!?
ReplyDeleteSorry about the snowy weather. It's too early!
It just got chilly in NJ after having 70 degree weather for a week!! Snow looks pretty but we had in October already this year. Not so pretty then.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have snow yet, but we might get some tonight they say! (Wisconsin). I'm scrambling because I'm running a 5k on Saturday and they're calling for chilly drizzle and rain, and I don't have waterproof gear yet! I swear I'm gonna go bankrupt buying all the gear I need to feed this addiction :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious family! I live way down south so I've never had to run in the snow...makes me complain a little less about running in 100+ degrees for most of July and August!
