A stockpile of pancakes in the freezer = Best idea ever. I topped them with sliced banana and blueberry-lime jam from the farmers market.
I'm such a proud mama. Miles is totally nailing his workout nutrition. On our family walk on Tuesday, he had some fruit snacks before we started and then requested applesauce 0.1 mile in. He stayed hydrated with some juice – Tinkerbell lid, of course – and my Nuun. As for me, I was just glad my trucker hat camouflaged the ridiculous circles under my eyes and my hoodie sort of covered the belly.
Vegetables at lunch! It's such a novelty lately but anything cooked (think: steamed broccoli or green beans) just turns my stomach. When I think of salads, I wince at the thought of spring mix and spinach. Thankfully, romaine and iceberg are appealing even if they aren't the most nutritionally dense. I topped my salad with tuna salad and called it a meal.
After my second salad of the day, we went to grab ice cream with my in-laws. I swear the last time we went, Miles was a baby. Not anymore. I can't even ... he just kills me. He's lucky, too, because this morning he told me "I just don't want to be around you right now."

I had the same aversion to spinach when I was pregnant. Even now I sometimes cringe when I feel raw spinach against my teeth. I also think Miles and Ella would be two peas in a pod. Ella has said similar things to me. I think they're conversations would be hilarious! Looking well momma!
ReplyDeleteGlad I'm not alone! I'm ready to eat better ... I just need it to sound good.
DeleteI can only imagine what Miles and Ella would be like. Sometimes I joke that if he were together with the right kids, he would manage to take over the world.
