The conditions you described and what some of the runners had been through is completely mind-boggling and so admirable. Those 50 and 100 milers are inspiring! As it turned out, I fell on ice and broke my arm at mile 2 (laaaaame...), but finished the race. Because damn, those people were running 100 miles on this crazy trail. I could gut out another 15.<br /><br />Thank you for volunteering. The aid station and finish line volunteers at my race were the BEST!
