(2010) I'd totally forgotten what I was missing but I'm definitely on the lookout for new crockpot recipes now, too :)Tarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09239580042161761524noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6137646469767562765.post-59655217558118087182011-03-29T08:43:35.500-04:002011-03-29T08:43:35.500-04:00I make a delicious irish stew - but it's proba...I make a delicious irish stew - but it's probably too boring for your new lid :) <br /><br />1.5-2 cups stewing beef (I've used chicken breast cut up before instead)<br />1 packet of dry onion soup mix<br />2 cans tomato soup<br />1 can water <br />carrots (I've used fresh, frozen, and canned) - can be sliced, shredded, or even just left whole (baby carrot size that is)<br />Diced potatoes - I usually opt for the canned version of these (real time saver)<br />Cook on low for 7 hours, add frozen peas (the recipe says add another can of water for this last hour, but I NEVER do) and cook on low one more hour. Serve with some bread to dip/sop up - YUM!!!!!!<br /><br />I have several plastic spiral bound slow cooker recipe books that have hundreds of recipes in them - got them at Sam's club years ago.
